Your Role
As a
Optical Assistant, you will:
- Provide expert pre-sales advice on lens selections, coatings, and frame fitment.
- Interpret and verify complex optical prescriptions to ensure total accuracy before production.
- Investigate and resolve high-level customer complaints using technical discretion and problem-solving.
- Manage the full order lifecycle, including refunds, returns, and tracking via ServiceCloud.
- Collaborate with product teams by providing data-driven feedback on website and range performance.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Deep technical knowledge of single vision, progressive, and bifocal lens parameters.
- Proven track record in a high-volume customer service or Patient Care setting.
- Advanced proficiency in CRM platforms, specifically ServiceCloud or similar enterprise tools.
- Exceptional English communication skills to explain technical optical concepts simply.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Prior experience in a high-volume Patient Care or digital e-commerce customer service setting.
- Deep knowledge of modern lens technologies, such as blue-light filters, high-index materials, and photochromics.
- Strong commercial acumen in managing refunds and returns to minimize financial risk to the company.
- Experience collaborating with marketing and product teams to improve website UX based on customer feedback.
- Professional certification in opticianry or a related technical field is highly regarded.
