Responsibilities

  1. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing the load planning process to ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse resources. This involves analyzing shipment data, determining optimal loading configurations, and assigning loads to available vehicles or carriers.

  2. Resource Allocation: The supervisor allocates available resources, such as vehicles, equipment, and personnel, to meet the load planning requirements. They assess the workload, capacity, and availability of resources to ensure timely and accurate load planning.

  3. Coordination and Communication: The supervisor collaborates with various teams, including warehouse operations, transportation, and customer service, to gather load requirements and communicate load plans. They ensure effective coordination between different stakeholders to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.

  4. Optimization and Efficiency: The supervisor focuses on optimizing load planning processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. They analyze historical data, evaluate transportation routes, and identify opportunities for consolidation or route optimization to maximize load utilization and minimize transportation expenses.

  5. Compliance and Safety: The supervisor ensures compliance with relevant regulations and safety guidelines during the load planning process. They consider weight restrictions, hazardous material handling regulations, and other legal requirements to ensure safe and compliant load configurations.

  6. Performance Monitoring: The supervisor monitors key performance indicators related to load planning, such as on-time delivery, load accuracy, and resource utilization. They analyze performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance load planning effectiveness.

  7. Training and Development: The supervisor provides training and guidance to load planning team members, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively. They foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

  8. Documentation and Reporting: The supervisor maintains accurate records and documentation related to load planning activities. They generate reports on load planning metrics, performance, and any incidents or exceptions that occur during the process.

Requirements

  • With extensive background in warehousing and warehouse management system.
  • With advance skills in MS office programs particularly in Excel application.
  • With basic knowledge in Power BI application.
  • With good English communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with different teams and stakeholders. (written and verbal).
  • Preferably with proven experience in warehouse operations, load planning, or transportation logistics.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze data, identify trends, and optimize load planning processes.
  • Experience in supervising and developing a team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ability to foster a positive team culture and promote collaboration and efficiency
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle unexpected situations, and adjust load plans accordingly.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with shifting demands and deadlines.
