Please find below the job description for Operations Senior Manager – Commercial Lending Underwriting.

Client: This role is for one of our banking clients.

Role Scope

• Manage a team of 20–25 underwriters, expanding to 35–60 team members.
• Directly handle 2 managers and 10+ individual contributors.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Review business loan requests
• Assess loan applications and company financials
• Conduct financial spreading and collateral review
• Partner with US business leaders

Work Schedule

• Hybrid Setup: 4 days onsite (BGC), 1 day WFH
• Hours: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Manila time)

Qualifications

• Non‑Negotiable:
• Commercial lending and underwriting background
• Minimum 3 years management experience (managing managers)
• Preferred:
• 7 years underwriting experience in commercial banking (flexible for review)
• Considerations:
• Candidates with corporate and retail credit experience may be considered
• Auto lending background acceptable
• Search Keywords:
• Corporate credit analysis
• Financial statement analysis
• Financial portfolio (must be commercial)
• Exclusions:
• Retail and consumer backgrounds
• Mortgage/residential backgrounds (recent endorsements failed due to lack of commercial underwriting experience and confidence)
