Role Overview
The successful candidate will be managing a team primarily responsible for running & monitoring internal reconciliations, from a completeness, accuracy and timeliness perspective. As well as the timely and accurate production of a suite of daily, weekly and monthly MI reports containing multiple KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) and exception details from various sources across the organisation.
The reporting is used by the operational teams and Senior Managers for governance and management of their operational teams to make strategic, tactical and operational decisions. The team is also responsible for creating and developing MI packs and internal reconciliations, for senior management and operations. Partnering with internal stakeholders (Ops teams, Tech, Risk, Compliance) to create and enhance these.
Role Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the effective management of the Operations Risk & Control function in Manila, ensuring that all activities are executed to defined service levels and on a timely basis, meeting the requirements of the business
- To ensure that all Operations Risk & Control responsibilities are managed on a day-to-day basis, including:
- Ensuring that all team queries received are managed and resolved in a timely manner
- Ensuring that the team generate and deliver client reports, as defined and agreed with clients
- Design, preparation, analysis and distribution of Operational MI/reporting to key stakeholders
- Ensuring that all TP ICAP reporting obligations are completed and submitted within required timeframes and that issues are resolved expediently in order to ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensuring that we undertake any reconciliations necessary to evidence stringent oversight and control of regulatory reporting processes and data
- To take ownership of and provide SME support for relevant projects, stepping away from the day-to-day functions, where appropriate, to deliver the project.
- To engage with regional counterparts as appropriate, to ensure that process, procedures and governance are aligned
- To manage the transition of functions and responsibilities into and out of the appropriate team(s) in a manner that ensures strong business risk management
- To act as a liaison to, and provide support for, any internal or external audits
- To ensure the team effectively partners with IT on technical developments, including requirements gathering, UAT and post-release support
- Preparation and periodic completion of management information reports to be discussed with senior and regional management during service reviews
- Recruitment, management and development of the Operations Risk & Control team
- Talent management, training and development and succession planning for the team while ensuring
- Strong employee engagement of what should be a highly performing, well-motivated team
- Ensure that all members of the team have the relevant knowledge and training, to ensure that:
- There are no single points of failure within the team
- Cross training and knowledge transfer is implemented and always maintained
- All members of staff have sufficient knowledge and experience to ensure that they understand their role as a first line of defence and that our business remains protected
- Ensure that any necessary process and procedures are documented, and maintained through any relevant changes

Experience / Competences
- Proficient Excel Skills (Formulas, Pivot, Conditional formatting)
- Very good communication skills verbal & written
- Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
- Experience with manually Visualising MI (Excel, Charts)
- Highly skilled in Presentation of Data (PowerPoint, Power BI)
