Job Description

Job Title: Retail & Inventory Operations Manager

Location: Remote (LATAM & Philippines Preferred)

Salary Range: $1,800–$2,500 USD/month (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST

NOTE: Independent Contractor

About the Role

We are seeking a Retail & Inventory Operations Manager to own operational execution, inventory workflows, and new market launches across a rapidly growing network of self-checkout micro-markets throughout the United States.

This role is responsible for building operational systems, managing inventory processes, coordinating installations, and improving operational efficiency across multiple locations. The ideal candidate combines strong operations management experience with the ability to create scalable processes and maintain operational reliability in a fast-growing environment.

What You'll Own

  • Own day-to-day operational performance across multiple micro-market locations.
  • Develop, document, and improve operational playbooks, SOPs, and workflows.
  • Coordinate new micro-market launches, installations, and operational readiness activities.
  • Manage inventory sourcing, purchasing, replenishment, and stock availability processes.
  • Partner with field teams and remote operations staff to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Improve inventory accuracy and reduce stockout risks across locations.
  • Maintain operational systems, tools, and technology platforms.
  • Build reporting processes that improve visibility into operational performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support operational scalability and growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, or Inventory Management.
  • Experience working in fast-growing or rapidly scaling organizations.
  • Strong operational problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience creating SOPs, operational playbooks, and process documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple operational workflows simultaneously.
  • Strong project coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, convenience stores, vending, hospitality, FMCG, logistics, or distribution operations.
  • Experience supporting multi-location operations.
  • Experience managing inventory management systems.
  • Experience coordinating installations, deployments, or field operations.
  • Experience managing remote teams or distributed workforces.
  • Familiarity with Notion, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com, or similar operational tools.

What Success Looks Like

  • New micro-markets launch successfully and on schedule.
  • Operational playbooks and SOPs are created and implemented within the first 90 days.
  • Inventory stockout rates remain consistently low.
  • Installation timelines improve through better coordination and execution.
  • Operational reporting provides leadership with clear visibility into performance.
  • Processes become increasingly scalable as the company expands.
