Operations Manager (Plant) - Food Manufacturing

1.1 Strategy and Development

1.1.1 Responsible for the overall activities and performance of Operations department including implementation and maintenance of company's Operations procedures and initiating improvements for the department

1.1.2 Ensures the department's conformance to the company's quality systems in accordance with customer specifications, internal quality requirements and manufacturing standards

1.1.3 Determines and enforces through cross-functional team productivity, product quality, food safety and occupational safety requirements in accordance with customer requirements and regulatory requirements and standards

1.1.4 Reviews and improves operational management systems, processes and best practices

1.1.5 Develops and prepares annual capital expenditure proposal and budget for operations department

1.2 Planning

1.2.1 Ensures that Production and Materials Planning are carried out in accordance to good commercial and quality practices at the least possible cost.

1.3 Purchasing

1.3.1 Ensures that the materials purchased are carried out in a legal, ethical and moral manner.

1.3.2 Ensures that cost down initiatives are in place and promptly monitored to improve I&P

1.3.3 Reviews the forecast prices on a quarterly basis and approves forecast prices every Budget Year.

1.4 Manufacturing

1.4.1 Reviews, reports and analyzes the production lines operations as to target achievements

1.4.2 Develop, implement and assess KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and other manufacturing efficiencies

1.4.3 Reviews the budget setting of labor complement, expenditures and other production costs

1.4.4 Participates in the short-term and long-term expansion plans of the factory

1.4.5 Actively pursue improvement options in the factory operations to sustain/enhance profitability

1.5 Warehouse (In-Bound/Outbound and Inventory Management

1.5.1 Ensures effective utilization of warehouse resources (Labor, pallets, forklift, trucks) to maintain operational expense within the budget

1.5.2 Implement Corporate and Regional procedures and policies in Unique Material Management (URM) and Daily Average Inventory (DAI); DSI (Days of Sales Inventory) or RM/PM ratio to Sales

1.5.3 Reviews the Percentage (%) Obsolescence Provision for raw materials and finished goods on a monthly basis

1.6 Customer Service

1.6.1 Ensures accurate and timely processing of sales

orders

1.6.2 Ensures that all customer issues are promptly resolved

and are reported to the senior management team

1.7 Others

1.7.1 Leverages with neighbouring NWF countries similar materials in the region to achieve cost-efficiencies

1.7.2 Initiates, analyzes (including cost benefit), recommends and implements projects and /or innovations for cost improvement of raw and packaging materials.

1.7.3 Conducts regular meetings with suppliers to review performance and to discuss issues & concerns

1.7.4 Submits all required Management reports (local & regional)
