Role Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and scaling the commercial engine of the client, the silo that connects practitioners to the essential products and services that power their aesthetic businesses.

This role oversees the operational, financial, and strategic growth of the Essentials marketplace, which includes partnerships across insurance, finance, payment systems, and other third-party service providers. You will manage day-to-day operations while driving long-term initiatives that enhance the visibility, efficiency, and profitability of the silo.

The position requires a blend of operational leadership, entrepreneurial mindset, and partnership management. You'll act as the driving force behind the silo's performance, coordinating with marketing, development, and business intelligence teams to ensure that service offerings are optimised, partnerships are delivering value, and growth opportunities are continually identified and acted upon.

As Operations Manager, you are expected to operate with initiative, commercial awareness, and strategic foresight. Your leadership will directly influence partner success, user satisfaction, and overall platform revenue, ensuring that the Essentials ecosystem becomes an indispensable part of the practitioner's business journey.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight & Budget Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Essentials Silo, ensuring service excellence and efficient workflows.
  • Manage operational budgets, optimise costs, and ensure a strong return on investment for all initiatives.
  • Track KPIs related to marketplace performance, partner engagement, and service adoption.
  • Develop and implement scalable operational frameworks to support ongoing growth.

Client & Relationship Management

  • Handle client accounts, ensuring that service quality and delivery continuously improve without requiring prior approval.
  • Build strong, longterm relationships with clients and partners.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of services.

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Identify and pursue new business deals, collaborations, and partnerships to expand company growth.
  • Source and negotiate deals confidently and effectively.
  • Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and partnership renewals.
  • Explore new revenue streams and service categories to expand the marketplace.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance partner visibility and performance.

Sales & Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with the marketing team to manage workload and align campaigns with operational goals.
  • Contribute to improving sales processes and driving revenue through innovative approaches.
  • Demonstrate confidence in finding and converting sales opportunities. Provide operational insights to improve campaign targeting, partner placement, and conversion metrics

Data & Performance Management

  • Utilise performance analytics to track business outcomes and guide decision-making.
  • Work with the data team to identify trends, evaluate ROI, and inform marketplace strategy.
  • Create reports and dashboards to assess operational effectiveness

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a growing team based on operational demands
  • Foster collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment between marketing, data, and development teams.
  • Act as a bridge between silos, ensuring efficient workflow and communication.
  • Encourage innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, partnerships, e-commerce or marketplace management.
  • Proven record of scaling business units or leading partner ecosystems.
  • Experience with SaaS, e-commerce, or digital platforms preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, budgeting, and revenue management.
  • Skilled in CRM tools, analytics dashboards, and marketplace management systems.
  • Demonstrated success in leading operational teams and improving ROI.
  • Comfortable handling clients directly, improving service and delivery proactively.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams (development, marketing, etc.)
  • Open to working onsite at our BGC office and comfortable with the UK time zone.
