This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight, driving accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across the end-to-end purchasing process — from Purchase Requisition (PR) through to Purchase Order (PO) execution.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development

- Provide coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and create professional development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture built on accountability and continuous improvement.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations, including PR review and conversion to Purchase Orders.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Define, track, and improve KPIs related to operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for PO discrepancies, vendor communication issues, and internal stakeholder concerns.
Process Optimization
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance overall purchasing efficiency.
- Partner with cross-functional teams — including Procurement, Finance, and Accounts Payable — to resolve root causes of recurring issues.
- Drive automation and technology initiatives to modernize and simplify purchasing operations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all purchasing-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve PO-related issues and ensure smooth, timely processing.
- Work closely with Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
System Management & Reporting
- Maintain deep expertise in ERP systems, ensuring the team fully leverages system capabilities for PO processing.
- Provide regular reporting on processing metrics, operational issues, and resolutions to senior management.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all PO-related transactions and records.
What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in process optimization and implementing automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
