Job Description

A multinational company located in BGC, Taguig is seeking an Operations Manager – Global Asset Accounting to lead a team of more than 30 full-time employees supporting global fixed asset accounting operations.

The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day service delivery, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of fixed asset transactions, and maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards. The scope of the process covers multiple regions, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, and Latin America.

This position requires strong leadership, analytical, operational, and stakeholder-management capabilities, together with a solid understanding of fixed asset accounting processes and treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple fixed asset accounting teams.
  • Ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of fixed asset transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all activities supporting the month-end closing process are completed accurately and within required timelines.
  • Manage the complete fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, impairment, transfers, and disposal.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local and international financial reporting standards, including IFRS and relevant GAAP requirements.
  • Partner with finance process owners and reporting teams to support fixed asset reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
  • Provide insights into asset balances, movements, performance, utilization, and related financial trends.
  • Develop and implement standard practices that improve process efficiency, accuracy, controls, and service quality.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the fixed asset operations team, supporting capability development, engagement, and high performance.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and ensure appropriate training, knowledge transfer, and resource planning.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during fixed asset audits, ensuring that documentation, reconciliations, controls, and processes are complete and readily available.
  • Oversee the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions arising from audit findings.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and service-level metrics for fixed asset operations.
  • Identify and implement continuous-improvement initiatives using lean methodologies, structured problem-solving, and root-cause analysis.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the fixed asset accounting team and other finance and business functions.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration on cross-functional initiatives and process changes.
  • Work with senior management to align asset accounting operations with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Conduct daily and weekly performance-management routines with operations team leads to monitor deliverables, risks, issues, and KPIs.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, equivalent accounting license, or relevant professional certification is an advantage but not required.

Experience

  • At least 5–7 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, finance operations, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a people-management or operational leadership role.
  • Experience working in a shared services, global business services, or multinational environment is preferred.
  • Experience managing a team of 30 or more employees is an advantage.

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting processes, controls, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Practical understanding of the fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, impairment, transfers, and disposal.
  • Proficiency in ERP and fixed asset management systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms.
  • Understanding of local and international accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP.
  • Strong analytical, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a diverse team in a high-volume operational environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, lean methodologies, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions, regions, and levels of seniority.
  • A global mindset and an understanding of regional accounting practices and regulatory requirements.

Work Arrangement:

  • Work location: BGC, Taguig.
  • Work schedule: Day shift, generally 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, or a mid shift depending on business requirements.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts that may change in response to operational needs is required.
