Position: Operations Director
Location: Makati, Philippines
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous and reliable operation of boilers and associated plant equipment to achieve maximum system uptime.
- Monitor boiler performance and implement proactive measures to optimize steam generation and fuel efficiency.
- Plan and raise purchase requisitions for fuel, spare parts, and operational consumables.
- Maintain accurate operational records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
- Oversee the operation and basic mechanical maintenance of boiler systems and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety standards, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in boiler operations within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, boiler systems, heaters, and steam generation processes.
- Hands-on experience with solid fuel combustion systems, fuel handling, and ash handling operations.
- Knowledge of boiler efficiency monitoring, combustion tuning, and performance optimization.
- Experienced in boiler startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Good understanding of operational and safety interlocks for boiler systems.
- Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience implementing operational excellence initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, or Lean Manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
