Position Summary

This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing our operational processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.

The Operations Management - Planner will focus on the short-term execution of strategies and tactics to achieve the organization's strategic objectives, typically covering a period of one year or less. Will work closely with various departments to develop and implement operational plans, monitor performance, and make necessary adjustments to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, developing and implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Conduct training and coaching sessions on technical tools, systems, and process improvement methodologies to enhance team capability and performance.
  • Perform and engage with the cross functional team (Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Test and other departments) to implement changes and drive improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on operational performance. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement best practices. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent with considerable experience in a similar role working in a Production and Manufacturing Environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in training, coaching, or facilitating the use of technical tools, systems, and improvement methodologies is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with a proactive strategic approach to challenges.
  • Pays close attention to details with high level of customer focus (internal & external)
  • Ability to influence individuals and teams to achieve desired goals and objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and able to build close relationships internally and externally to achieve an end goal
  • Change Agent, Problem Solver, and Systems/Process Oriented
  • Effective Team player
