Job Description
The Claims Intern provides vital administrative, operational, and document pre-screening support to the Claims team, ensuring incoming files are complete, accurately logged, and ready for higher-level evaluation. In this role, the intern assists with registering incoming claims, conducting initial checks against standard document checklists, and flagging missing or inconsistent details for senior review. Additionally, the role supports daily claims administration by maintaining up-to-date system records, following up with customers for outstanding documentation, and assisting with basic status updates under supervisor guidance to ensure timely processing and compliance with operational standards.
Check if submitted forms and documents are complete and correct.
List missing files and inform senior team members of incomplete submissions.
- Basic Customer Support & Follow-ups
Help answer basic customer inquiries regarding claim status and needed documents.
Follow up with customers to collect missing paperwork.
Keep claimants updated on their claim status.
Compare submitted claim details against basic policy checklists.
Draft quick summaries for Claims L2 to review and evaluate.
Flag complicated issues or suspicious documents to senior staff.
- Data Entry & File Management
Type claim details and status updates into the database accurately.
Organize and maintain digital claim files.
Track pending files to help avoid processing delays.
- Task Quality & Process Adherence
Follow company procedures, privacy rules, and instructions.
Keep files organized and ready for routine audits.
Complete daily tasks on time.
Requirements
- Must be a third or fourth-year college student currently enrolled in a university with a degree in related business.
- Voluntary Internship (not required by the school)
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Excel
- Can commit to a full-time internship for at least 3 months
- Amenable to working onsite in Mandaluyong City (The Podium) at least three times a week. Can work from home for the rest of the remaining work days.
