Operations Bookkeeper AU Accounting (Remote)

Work From Home | Full-Time | AU Hours | PH-Based

OutsourcedIn is partnering with an Australian client to hire an experienced Operations Bookkeeper with a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax rules, and compliance requirements.

This role focuses on end-to-end bookkeeping, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while also supporting operational and administrative workflows.

The ideal candidate has proven experience working with Australian businesses and is confident communicating with Australian clients and stakeholders.

Australian Bookkeeping Experience Is ESSENTIAL.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with Australian tax requirements.

This is a detail-driven role requiring strong organisation, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Management

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations accurately and consistently
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense tracking
  • Prepare financial reports and cash flow summaries

Compliance & Payroll Support


  • Support BAS preparation and ensure GST compliance
  • Assist with payroll processing, superannuation, and related compliance
  • Maintain compliance with Australian accounting standards

Systems & Administration


  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar systems
  • Liaise with accountants, clients, and suppliers professionally
  • Support operational workflows and administrative processes

Mandatory Requirements


  • Proven experience working with Australian businesses (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong understanding of AU accounting: GST, BAS, AP/AR
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication (ESSENTIAL)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
  • Experience with Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks

Highly Regarded


  • Experience in transport, construction, real estate, or service-based industries
  • Exposure to operational or administrative support alongside bookkeeping
