Job Description
You will be the operational backbone of this solar installation business, handling everything from pipeline management and forecasting to handover packs and basic marketing support. This role is designed for someone who thrives in variety and can take ownership of the day-to-day tasks that keep a growing business running smoothly. You'll work directly with the founder, a former head of sales, and help free up their time to focus on growth while you manage the behind-the-scenes execution. Operations Assistant Schedule: Monday - Friday. UK Hours ( 4 hours per day)
Responsibilities
- Manage installer performance tracking and pipeline forecasting
- Prepare handover packs and client documentation
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks across operations, finance, and marketing
- Support accounting workflows using Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
- Assist with website updates and edits using Lovable AI or similar tools
- Create basic marketing content using Canva or equivalent design tools
- Work within Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) for all company operations
- Support solar design tasks using OpenSolar or similar solar design platforms
- Maintain CRM systems such as Monday.com to track customer relationships and project progress
- Provide general business support across multiple functions as the company grows
Must-Have Requirements
- Strong experience in operations or administrative support roles
- Proficiency in accounting platforms like Xero or QuickBooks Comfortable working across Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Monday.com or similar
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a startup environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Bonus if you have experience in the solar or renewable energy industry It helps if you're familiar with OpenSolar or other solar design platforms
- Bonus if you have experience with Lovable AI or AI-powered website tools
- It helps if you have basic marketing or content creation experience using Canva
- Bonus if you have worked in early-stage or startup environments before
