Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Assistant to support a beverage manufacturing company specializing in canned cocktails, cocktail mixers, and private label production. This role supports production planning, inventory management, and vendor coordination across multiple product lines. The workload is cyclical, with higher activity during production runs and a lighter workload during off-peak periods. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and experienced in managing operational workflows, inventory tracking, and supplier coordination.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day (20 hours per week minimum), East Coast timezone (Richmond, Virginia).
- Flexible schedule options: 9 AM to 1 PM | 1 PM to 5 PM | 5 PM to 9 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers for labels, packaging materials, and ingredients based on production schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and determine replenishment needs for upcoming production runs
- Maintain and update inventory records in inventory management systems
- Track materials and ensure accurate cost of goods data for margin and pricing analysis
- Assist in building and maintaining product and materials records in the system
- Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and support month-end reporting
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across multiple product lines and SKUs
- Support operational tracking across production cycles and vendor coordination
Requirements
- Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or inventory management
- Experience with inventory or cost of goods tracking systems (e.g., similar platforms)
- Experience with Cin7 or similar ERP/inventory systems
- Familiarity with manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain operations
- Experience in the beverage, FMCG, or consumer goods industries
- Exposure to cost tracking or basic financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Experience coordinating with vendors or managing procurement workflows
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable managing cyclical or variable workload environments
