- Supports the Risk Management Unit by helping implement and maintain the bank's risk management framework, policies, and methodologies in line with regulatory and industry standards.
- Provides risk management guidance to business units and assists in implementing key risk tools, including Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), to monitor and manage risks.
- Conducts and supports various risk assessments while helping implement the Outsourcing Risk Management Framework.
- Coordinates with different departments to oversee outsourcing risks, maintain vendor records, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and compliance matters.
- Supports governance and business resilience initiatives by preparing risk reports, assisting with Risk Committee activities, promoting risk awareness and assist in implementing Business Continuity Management (BCM) programs.
- Performs other ad hoc tasks assigned by Management to fulfill organizational and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any business-related course preferably Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or other related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a bank, consumer finance, or micro finance institution in the Philippines and at least 1 year in Operational Risk Management or Business Continuity Management.
- Knowledgeable of applicable regulations and practices within the financial services industry, including familiarity with relevant BSP regulations on risk management, such as BSP Circular No. 900, 951, 1137, and 1203.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with audiences at varying levels of seniority.
- Strong analytical skills necessary to identify key process gaps, validate controls, consult with partners/clients, analyze information, and develop compliant policies and procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Advanced Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)
- Responsible, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- A team player who is inquisitive, agile, and proactive
- Experience working in a start-up environment / FinTech is an advantage.
