Job Description

About Kumu

At Kumu, we're building the largest social entertainment platform in the Philippines-a place where creators, communities, and fans come together to connect, share, and earn.

Every day, millions of interactions happen across the platform. Behind every livestream, virtual gift, creator payout, and community experience is a business that needs to make smart, data-driven decisions to keep growing sustainably.

That's where Finance comes in.

We're not just here to report numbers. We're here to help the business understand what those numbers mean, uncover opportunities for growth, and ensure we're building a company that can create value for our users, creators, and partners for years to come.

If you're excited about solving complex business problems, turning data into insights, and helping shape the future of one of the Philippines most recognized tech platforms, we'd love to meet you.

Operational Finance Analyst

We're looking for a highly analytical and curious individual who can connect the dots between what happens in the business and what it means financially. This role sits at the intersection of operations and finance-turning data into insights that help leaders make smarter decisions every day.

You'll help answer questions like:

  • What is driving revenue growth across the platform
  • How do creator payouts and cashouts impact profitability
  • Which initiatives are generating the strongest returns
  • How can we improve margins while continuing to invest in growth

What you'll do:

  • Own weekly business performance reporting and highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Analyze revenue, cashouts, commissions, and other operating metrics to uncover actionable insights
  • Monitor gross profit performance and investigate significant variances
  • Build dashboards, reports, and models that translate operational activity into financial outcomes
  • Partner with teams across the business to understand the drivers behind performance
  • Support cash runway discussions by explaining the operational factors affecting results
  • Assist in fundraising analyses and financial modeling by providing business insights and data
  • Work closely with Accounting to ensure reporting reflects business realities
  • Recommend improvements to processes, reporting, and decision-making frameworks

You'd be the perfect fit if you have/are:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Naturally curious and driven to understand the why behind the numbers
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying meaningful patterns
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
  • Adaptable and excited to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analytics, FP&A, consulting, or similar roles
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • Experience building financial models, dashboards, and management reports
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and data visualization tools is an advantage
  • Experience in startups, digital platforms, marketplaces, or consumer technology companies is a plus
