Operating Room Nurse - TMC Clinic (TriNoma)

A. Pre-Operative Efficiency

1. Observes and enforces strict sterile and safe operating room to staff and patient
2. Ensures that correct patient is in the OR and for the right procedure
3. Ensures completeness of supplies, linens, instrumentations, and equipment for operative care
4. Secures consent and necessary preoperative documents
5. Obtains patient vital signs including drug/anesthesia
6. Counts instruments, sponges, and other related items prior to a surgery

B. Intraoperative Efficiency

1. Monitors patient vital signs
2. Executes proper use, care, and handling of surgical equipment
3. Maintains strict sterile technique
4. Responds to life-saving situations

C. Post-Operative Efficiency

1. Monitors patient's vital signs
2. Records all care information accurately and in a timely manner
3. Maintains order and sterility of the OR
4. Ensures proper disposal of sharp objects, needles, and infectious wastes
5. Initiates post-operative home care and instructions

D. Administrative Efficiency

1. Adheres to regulatory requirements mandated by the Department of Health
2. Provides required reports as requested
3. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
