Global Quality & Food Compliance Officer

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Global Quality & Food Compliance Officer.

What Are The Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible in assisting and supporting the attainment of URC's key performance objectives through effective supervision of the company's quality and food safety compliance obligations.
  • Shall conduct the timely execution of verification activities such as but not limited to internal, second-party, and/or third party quality and food safety audits for all URC Philippines and International Manufacturing Sites, Raw and Packaging Material Suppliers, Central Laboratories, Head Office including timely audit report generation, monitoring, investigation, surveillance, corrective action request monitoring, corrective action plan implementation validation, and review of audit program and systems ensuring risk-based approach is employed all the time.

Governance And Quality Audit Management, Monitoring, And Controls

  • Develops an audit program, plan, and itinerary. Implements the program, tracks completion, and maintains the assigned audit program including risk indicator monitoring to ensure objectives are met.
  • Acts as Lead Auditor and/or Audit Team Member for all assigned quality and food safety compliance assessments
  • Issues corrective action request for nonconformities raised, monitors submission of corrective action plans through action registry report (ARR), reviews appropriateness of ARR, and validates effective implementation. Analyzes and review the audit program assigned for continues improvement and enhancement.
  • Collaborates and supports the Global Quality & Food Safety Compliance Manager in all external audits as required and per need basis including preparatory assessments and the generation of relevant analysis to ensure organizational compliance with relevant quality and food safety standards and regulations

Quality and Food Safety Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensures that the organization complies with quality standards and food safety regulatory requirements through regular monitoring of new regulations and communication of new requirements to URC plants for better understanding. This includes all relevant regulations from the following government regulatory agencies in the Philippines (FDA, DOH, DOA, DTI, DENR, PRC)

Knowledge Management (Data Analytics) and Knowledge Transfer (Capability Building)

  • Manages and analyzes the data from generated reports in the assigned audit program and translating it to informative presentations through data visualization techniques providing business partners a high-level information regarding key quality and food safety compliance performance.
  • Design, develop, and execute capability-building programs within the audit system framework to enhance the capabilities of Plant Quality Internal Auditors and Plant QA Supplier Auditors and to ensure all are updated on the current versions of relevant quality and/or food safety management system criteria.

Project and Resource Management

  • Collaborates and works with Global Quality & Food Safety Compliance Manager on the effective project management execution of an assigned audit program or system, its organization, delivery/launch, and reporting.

What Are The Qualifications

  • Education: Must be a graduate of any of the following courses: Science and/or Engineering (Chemistry, Chemical Eng, Food Technology, Industrial Eng, Biology) and/or other allied courses
  • With 3-5 years relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management on a food manufacturing and/or food and beverage operations, preferably in auditing systems, processes, operational function.
  • With extensive knowledge and experience on quality and food safety management systems auditing (GMP, HACCP, QMS, FSMS, and the likes)
  • With extensive knowledge on audit report generation, audit data analysis, and CAR CAPA validation.
  • With knowledge on Food Manufacturing and Supply Chain (including warehousing, distribution, vendor management) operations and processes
  • With knowledge on Quality and Food Safety standards and regulatory requirements such as AO 153, RA 10611, PNS, ISO
  • With proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Can work in a dynamic environment involving regular travel local and international
