Position Overview
Malaya Tech Consulting, Inc. is looking for a results-driven Odoo Technical Sales Consultant who combines strong business acumen with a technical understanding of ERP systems.
This role is responsible for driving Odoo ERP opportunities from discovery to deal closure by translating client business requirements into scalable Odoo solutions. The ideal candidate understands finance, supply chain, operations, and system integration, and can confidently engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Opportunity Management
- Identify and qualify new Odoo ERP opportunities
- Conduct client discovery sessions to understand business processes and operational challenges
- Develop solution strategies aligned with client objectives
- Work with Account Managers to drive opportunities from lead to contract signing
- Support revenue targets and pipeline growth initiatives
- Technical Pre-Sales
- Design high-level Odoo solution architectures based on client requirements
- Conduct Odoo product demonstrations tailored to client industries
- Explain module capabilities including Accounting, Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchasing, Manufacturing, HR, and Custom Development
- Recommend deployment approaches including Odoo.sh, on-premise, or cloud hosting
- Identify customization, integration, and automation requirements
- Proposal and Scope Development
- Prepare Statements of Work, scope documents, and effort estimates
- Define project assumptions, dependencies, and exclusions
- Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure solution feasibility
- Support RFP and RFQ responses with detailed technical input
- Client Engagement
- Present solutions to decision-makers including CFOs, COOs, and IT Heads
- Address technical objections and business concerns
- Position Malaya Tech Consulting as a trusted Odoo implementation partner
- Ensure smooth handover to Project Managers and Implementation Teams
- Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Odoo Functional Consultants and Developers
- Participate in internal solution reviews and deal validation sessions
- Stay updated on Odoo releases, features, and best practices
Must Have
- Bachelors degree in IT, Business, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years experience in ERP sales, pre-sales, or solution consulting
- Strong understanding of finance, supply chain, and business operations
- Experience with Odoo or similar ERP platforms
- Strong presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
Nice to Have
- Hands-on Odoo implementation experience
- Experience with API integrations and system architecture
- Background in consulting or system integration firms
- Odoo certification
