Job Description

Odoo ERP Specialist

Company: Aboitiz Power - Solviva

Location: Makati CBD, Hybrid

About Solviva

Solviva is a fast-growing solar startup on a mission to make clean energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the Philippines. We're building the future of residential solar—offering flexible financing, the latest solar technology, and a seamless, hassle-free transition to solar ownership. As we scale, we need passionate, driven leaders to help shape our growth and the future of residential energy.

Solviva is the first venture launched from AboitizPower's 1882 Energy Ventures, a venture studio focused on decentralizing the energy system and creating more sustainable homes, businesses, mobility, and networks.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Odoo ERP Specialist to lead the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of Odoo across all business functions at Solviva. This role serves as the primary bridge between internal teams and the Odoo platform—translating real-world business processes into efficient, scalable ERP workflows. The ideal candidate combines deep Odoo technical knowledge with strong communication skills, enabling them to facilitate cross-functional alignment and deliver solutions that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

1. ERP Implementation & Configuration

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and rollout of Odoo ERP modules (CRM, Sales, Inventory, Project, Accounting, HR, Helpdesk, etc.) aligned with Solviva's business requirements.
  • Configure, customize, and optimize Odoo modules to fit evolving operational needs, including custom fields, automated actions, scheduled actions, and server actions.
  • Manage Odoo.sh environments (staging, production) and coordinate upgrades, migrations, and module deployments with minimal business disruption.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all configurations, customizations, and integrations.

2. Business Process Mapping & Translation

  • Collaborate with functional teams (Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, CX) to deeply understand their current workflows, pain points, and requirements.
  • Translate business processes into optimized Odoo workflows, ensuring that the ERP reflects actual operational realities rather than forcing teams into rigid system defaults.
  • Conduct process gap analyses and recommend Odoo-native or custom solutions to bridge operational gaps.
  • Design and implement approval workflows, automated notifications, and reporting dashboards within Odoo.

3. Cross-Functional Facilitation & Change Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between all internal departments and the digital/tech team for ERP-related matters.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) cycles with stakeholders.
  • Lead training sessions and create user guides to drive Odoo adoption across the organization.
  • Champion change management best practices to ensure smooth transitions during new module rollouts or process changes.

4. Integration & Automation

  • Design and manage integrations between Odoo and third-party systems (e.g., Google Workspace, Supabase, n8n, payment gateways, and monitoring platforms).
  • Build and maintain automated workflows using Odoo Studio, server actions, and external automation tools to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure data consistency across connected platforms.

5. System Administration & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor system performance, manage user access and security roles, and ensure data integrity within Odoo.
  • Stay current with Odoo releases, community modules, and ERP best practices to continuously enhance system capabilities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, and improve user experience within the platform.
  • Qualifications and Skills

    Education & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and administering Odoo ERP (v16+; Odoo 18 experience is a strong plus).
    • Track Record: Proven track record of leading ERP rollouts across multiple business functions (CRM, Sales, Inventory, Accounting, HR, or Project).
    • Certification: Odoo Functional or Technical Certification is highly preferred.

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in Odoo Studio, Odoo.sh, and Odoo's configuration/customization framework.
    • Working knowledge of Python, XML, and PostgreSQL for Odoo development and troubleshooting.
    • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and integration platforms (n8n, Zapier, or similar).
    • Familiarity with business intelligence/reporting tools and data export processes.

    Soft Skills & Competencies

    • Business Translation: Excellent ability to translate non-technical business requirements into ERP configurations and workflows.
    • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills to facilitate workshops, training, and cross-team alignment.
    • Problem-Solving: Analytical approach to diagnosing process inefficiencies and system issues.
    • Agility: Ability to manage multiple concurrent implementation workstreams in a dynamic startup environment.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience in the renewable energy, utilities, or real estate industries.
    • Familiarity with Supabase, Google Sheets advanced integrations, or data pipeline tools.
    • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies for ERP project delivery.
    • Exposure to data governance, master data management, or BI dashboards.
  • Why Join Solviva

    • Make an Impact – Play a pivotal role in a fast-growing solar startup that's making clean energy more accessible to Filipino families.
    • Leadership & Growth – Take ownership of critical functions and grow your career in a dynamic, high-impact startup environment.

    • Backed by Industry Leaders – Solviva is the first venture from AboitizPower's 1882 Energy Ventures, giving you the agility of a startup with the backing of a trusted energy leader.
