About the Role
The Odoo ERP Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, enhancement, and optimization of the company's Odoo ERP platform. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, end-users, vendors, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery, process improvement, user adoption, and alignment with organizational goals.
This role is focused on managing the Odoo ERP platform and ensuring its effective implementation and enhancement across various business functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Odoo ERP implementation and enhancement projects from initiation to deployment.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and project deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management activities.
- Prepare regular project status reports for management and stakeholders.
- Manage Odoo modules including Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse, Sales, CRM, HR, and other business functions.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Work with developers, consultants, and vendors on system enhancements, customizations, and integrations.
- Ensure data integrity, system efficiency, and process standardization across departments.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement using Odoo ERP.
- Analyze current business processes and recommend ERP-driven improvements.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize workflows and operational efficiency.
- Ensure ERP solutions align with business objectives and best practices.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives through technology adoption.
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, management, and external Odoo partners.
- Manage relationships with ERP vendors, consultants, and implementation teams.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment among all project participants.
- Support ERP user adoption initiatives.
- Coordinate end-user training sessions and system documentation.
- Assist in troubleshooting system issues and managing enhancement requests.
- Promote best practices and continuous learning among system users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ERP Project Management, Business Systems, or Digital Transformation projects.
- Hands-on experience managing, implementing, or supporting Odoo ERP projects is required.
- Strong understanding of ERP modules including Accounting, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse, Sales, CRM, and HR.
- Experience managing cross-functional and multi-department ERP implementations.
- Experience in business process mapping, workflow optimization, and system integration.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 solutions including SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Power Automate is highly preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, Odoo, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Preferably with experience in the building materials, construction, home improvement, furniture, architectural products, sanitary ware, tiles, kitchen systems, lighting, retail distribution, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience supporting purchasing, inventory, warehouse, logistics, sales, and finance operations through ERP systems.
- Experience handling multi-branch or multi-site business operations is an advantage.
