The Nutrition Sales Specialist (NSS) will be responsible for the ethical promotion, scientific detailing, and commercial growth of our premium Consumer Health product portfolio within an assigned territory. Operating in a newly established team environment, the NSS's mandate is to drive institutional product adoption through dual-pathway integration — securing hospital formulary and dietary inclusion — while simultaneously building robust outpatient demand and retail trade availability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & STRATEGIC MILESTONES
Hospital Formulary and/or Dietary Inclusion:
- Navigate institutional channels to secure Therapeutic and/or Dietary Committee approvals for product listing in priority hospitals.
- Successfully list products within the hospital formulary, the official institutional dietary/nutrition menus, or both, depending on account structure.
- Ensure product availability and visibility across relevant hospital preparation, clinical nutrition, and dispensing units.
Hospital & Inpatient Consumption:
- Conduct consistent ward engagement, clinical updates, and nutritional briefings to nursing, medical, and food service staff.
- Engage directly with hospital nutritionists, dietitians, and clinical specialists to incorporate the product into standard in-patient meal protocols and recovery plans.
- Drive measurable inpatient consumption volume growth across targeted medical and surgical wards.
•
Out-Patient Demand (Rx & Recommendation Generation):
- Build, regularly update, and systematically cover a strategic doctor master list within the territory to drive active recommendations and prescriptions.
- Maximize the prescription-to-trade conversion rate by educating patients and ensuring cross-functional retail support.
- Accelerate trade offtake velocity through consistent medical demand generation.
Trade Availability:
- Perform regular retail and drugstore visits to monitor inventory levels and trigger timely re-orders.
- Drive proactive pharmacist engagement, ensuring retail staff are well-trained on product positioning, benefits, and stock maintenance.
