Job Summary

The Supervisor for NPI is responsible for managing daily operational requirements and ensuring alignment with organizational expectations. Oversees production planning and control functions while addressing and resolving escalated issues in a timely manner in accordance with NPI standards. Maintains strong communication channels with internal stakeholders and the NPI team to ensure on-time delivery commitments. Ensures supply continuity and monitors delivery commitments through daily Integrated Production Planning (IPP) activities.

Key Responsibilities

Production Scheduling

  • Take full accountability of production schedule and delivery commitments.
  • Push for on-time delivery of materials as per production requirement to maintain continuous flow of Production Shopfloor.
  • Analyze and Execute releasing of Discrete Jobs to support Production's Continuous Build per Build Plan's Requirement.
  • Prevent line stoppages and maintaining optimum level of WIP and Finish Goods inventory.
  • Review loading plan / build plan with NPI Team and do level loading activities, production scheduling and capacity analysis to maximize revenue and customer support deliveries.
  • Daily production meetings and Release of Production Schedule to address any issues and to ensure that the target daily plan will be met.
  • Initiates meetings and Coordinates with Factory Team (IE, NPI, Production and Support Groups) if in case there's a need of capacity increase in consideration of its current Headcount allocations and available resources.
  • Handles issues under escalation and warrants immediate resolution according to NPI's expectations.

Effective communication and responsiveness

  • Provide accurate and timely information based on actual production scenario in order to give management pertinent information for analysis and decision making.
  • Give pre-alerts/heads-up for delivery issues that needs immediate attention.
  • Coordinate with other section/department in order to align commitments and constraints.

On Time Delivery

  • To ensure real-time delivery of orders according to factory commits
  • Review causals to misses in consensus to all areas involved and deliberate on recovery plan with the factory
  • Do level loading per capacity & materials supportability

System Data Integrity

  • Accuracy on order data entries thru Oracle (soon to transition to SAP)

Delivery Monthly/Annual Revenue Targets

  • Consistently reviews and monitors projected revenue on a weekly basis
  • Manage/Strategize factory loading, capacity assessment and utilize available resources effectively in coordination with support teams.
  • Monitors execution of plan (daily) and ensure monthly revenue target is met; Communicate clear cut goal setting
  • Maintain the flow of information from management level to working level support teams – e.g. keep the higher management informed of the appropriate revenue risk levels.

Capacity Planning and Level loading

  • Demonstrate flexibility in order acceptance according to capacity and lead time
  • Review weekly loading plan and propose contingency plan on changes in any customer requirements.
  • Work closely with IE and production support, escalate any issue that will create delay and Customer noise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or any related course
  • Minimum of 5yrs work experience in Planning/Production Planning
