Job Summary

The NPI Sourcing Buyer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing strategic suppliers to support new product introduction (NPI) initiatives and business objectives. The role ensures a reliable and uninterrupted supply of materials through effective supplier management, contract negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include driving cost optimization, mitigating supply chain risks, enhancing supplier performance, and supporting operational excellence to ensure successful product launches and sustained manufacturing efficiency.

This position will report to NPI Sourcing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
  • Maintain and upload supplier master data into ERP and other business systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Management teams to align sourcing strategies with NPI objectives.
  • Drive early supplier involvement during product design and development stages to improve manufacturability and reduce risks.
  • Facilitate DFM reviews between engineering teams and suppliers, driving timely resolution and closure of all manufacturability issues.
  • Coordinate engineering sample and prototype requirements, ensuring suppliers meet critical project timelines.
  • Communicate design changes and engineering updates to suppliers throughout the NPI process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
  • This role serves as a key liaison between engineering, supply chain, and suppliers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and timely execution of NPI programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management,preferably within the electronics or power supply industry.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), sourcing tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing practices, supplier performance management, and quality standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, results-driven approach, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and uncertainty.
  • This is a full-time, onsite position reporting to the Sta. Rosa Laguna site.
