Job Summary

The NPI Engineer is responsible for managing new product introduction (NPI) projects for magnetics and cable assemblies, ensuring readiness and smooth transition from development to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute the M&C Matrix to the NP–M&C team immediately after the PSU kickoff meeting.
  • Develop and maintain build readiness checklists to ensure all required deliverables are completed prior to sample builds.
  • Ensure all prerequisites are in place before builds, including BOMs, specification drawings, jigs and fixtures, raw materials, process and test capabilities, standard times, and Oracle routings.
  • Assign and communicate build stage categories per part number to the NP–M&C team for production reference.
  • Monitor NPI projects and coordinate with responsible teams to resolve issues related to materials, processes, shipments, production, or other factors that could impact customer delivery commitments.
  • Lead the transition of NPI units to mass production by model and part number, ensuring requirements are met, including JIRA closure, WIS and JAFS (process and test), build reports, and resolution of quality issues.
  • Ensure build reports are completed for every build stage, with proper review and sign-off by all relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in magnetics and cable assembly manufacturing.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
