Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare various types of noodles (e.g., ramen, soba, udon, rice noodles) according to recipes or customer preferences.
- Cook noodles to the correct texture and doneness (e.g., al dente, soft).
- Time cooking of noodles and other ingredients to ensure dishes are served hot and fresh.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking station.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor inventory and notify the kitchen manager or chef when supplies are low.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Prior experience as a cook or kitchen helper (12 years preferred).
- Experience specifically in Asian cuisine or noodle preparation is a strong advantage.
- Ability to cook different types of noodles to the correct texture.
- Knowledge of broths, stir-fry techniques, and Asian seasonings/sauces.
