NOC Engineer

Job Summary

The NOC Engineer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance. The role involves responding to network alerts and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and supporting network maintenance and provisioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor network infrastructure, backbone links, and customer circuits using network monitoring systems (NMS) and dashboards.

· Respond to network alarms, incidents, and escalations in a timely and efficient manner.

· Perform initial troubleshooting, isolation, and escalation to higher-level engineers or vendors when required.

· Coordinate with field engineers for onsite troubleshooting, maintenance, and restoration activities.

· Conduct link performance checks and generate utilization and uptime reports.

Qualifications

· A diploma holder in ECE, Computer Science, or Information Technology is preferred.

· At least less than 1 year of Network and/or IT Operations experience

· Has CCNA certificate

· Strong understanding of routing and switching

· In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, Subnetting, and network fundamentals

· Familiar with network devices such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Huawei, or Arista

· Experience in network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG, or similar

· Experience in ISP/Telco operations is an advantage.

SALARY: 25,000-30,000
