Job Summary
We are seeking a
New Product Commercialization Manager to lead the successful commercialization of new menu items across restaurant and commissary operations. This role serves as the bridge between Research & Development and Operations, ensuring products are scalable, operationally executable, and ready for full-market launch.
The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in restaurant product commercialization, pilot testing, operational readiness, process validation, and cross-functional project management within a QSR or multi-unit restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end commercialization of new products from concept approval through full restaurant rollout.
- Manage pilot kitchen trials, commissary validation, operational testing, and market launch activities.
- Ensure products meet operational, quality, food safety, and profitability standards before implementation.
- Develop commercialization plans, launch timelines, and cross-functional project schedules.
- Standardize recipes, production methods, SOPs, BOMs, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with R&D, Operations, QA, Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, and Training teams.
- Identify commercialization risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Evaluate launch performance and recommend continuous improvements.
- Support supplier qualification and raw material validation activities.
- Lead commercialization teams while managing multiple product launches simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, Culinary Management, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Restaurant R&D, Product Commercialization, Technical Services, or Food Manufacturing.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading product commercialization within QSR, restaurant chains, or commissary operations.
- Strong knowledge of pilot testing, process validation, recipe standardization, and operational readiness.
- Experience in cross-functional project management and stakeholder engagement.
- SAP/ERP experience is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
