New Business Services Team Leader (BDO Life)

The New Business Team Leader oversees the daily operations of New Business Processing, Receiving, Policy Assembly, Quality Control, Policy Release, and Document Management. The role ensures efficient operations, compliance with service level standards, and accurate, timely processing of new business transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily new business operations, including receiving, encoding, policy assembly, QA, policy release, document management, and disbursement.
• Ensure turnaround time (TAT), accuracy, and completeness of all new business transactions.
• Monitor ADA enrollment, PAR tagging, DR tagging/clearing, document scanning, and policy data uploads.
• Lead and manage New Business Support, Quality Control, Policy Release, and Document Management staff.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide coaching and guidance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Handle operational concerns, including missing documents, system issues, and advisor inquiries.
• Prepare and monitor operational reports, trackers, logsheets, and performance metrics.
• Support process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, UAT activities, and user training.
• Coordinate with IT on system issues and prepare incident reports when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any business-related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the life insurance industry or business services environment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems.
