Description

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with strong Fortinet firewall security and Wi-Fi experience to join our network engineering and design team. You will get to work with engineers, technicians, and other IT professionals on a variety of environments, projects, and problems.

This is a long-term, full-time, fully remote position which supports operations on a UTC/GMT-7 schedule. Candidates should have the equipment, connectivity, focus, and work ethic required to work effectively.

Strong English verbal and written communication are required, B2 minimum and C1+ level preferred, as you will be working with English customers and coworkers. You must apply with an English resume/CV to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls (Palo Alto and Fortinet), routers, switches, and Wi-Fi
• Troubleshoot networks on internal and customer environments independently and with other engineers
• Mentor team members on technical issues, train current and future engineers
• Communicate with users professionally
• Create and maintain complete technical documentation and SOPs
• Fully track time and work done on internal and customer tickets and projects
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Perform other job-related duties as necessary

You should be deeply experienced with:

• Fortinet firewall configuration and network design, additional experience with Palo Alto preferred
• Wi-Fi implementation and support
• Configuration and troubleshooting of network devices including switches and routers
• BGP in an MSPs, data centers, or other multi-tenant environments
• TCP/IP, Layer 2 (VLAN), and Layer 3
• Wireless (802.11x)
• WAN NNI circuit
• VoIP expertise preferred

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience designing network architecture for small businesses and enterprises
• 7+ years of network engineering experience
• FCX, FCSS, NSE 6/7/8, or equivalent knowledge preferred. FCP, NSE 4/5, or equivalent certifications or knowledge will be considered
• Networking certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCIE, PCNSE, PCNSC, or equivalent are a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

Selected candidates job grade and starting salary will be determined by the evaluation of factors including relevant skills, knowledge, and geographic location.

Contractors who complete the first 90 days of employment will be eligible for accruing Paid Time Off of up to 10 vacation/personal days, 5 sick days, birthdays off, and 8 company holidays annually.
