We are seeking a seasoned and strategicNetwork Logistics Managerhandling our airfreight operations and procurement strategy across the Southeast Asia region. Reporting directly to theRegion Head of Network Logistics, you will be responsible of gaining competitive advantage through effective network management, strategic sourcing, and meticulous operational oversight.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Strategic Procurement & Market Alignment:Dedicate a significant portion of time to procurement. This is essential for upholding Janio's asset-light principle and ensuring our portfolio remains current with the latest market capabilities and competitive offerings.
- Partner Performance Management & Resolution:Manage partners through consistent and periodic performance reviews. Proactively address company and partner concerns, identifying the root cause of issues and implementing structural resolutions to drive continuous, consistent improvement.
- Supply Chain Design & Network Modeling:Engage in supply chain analysis and modeling to deeply understand the network connection points. Determine the optimal stakeholder for specific tasks based on performance, cost, and various influencing macro and micro-economic factors.
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Communication:Ensure seamless internal alignment and communication, keeping all stakeholders abreast of the latest developments within your sector. Provide constructive feedback to supporting units and their respective functions concerning the needs and performance of your cluster.
Key Expectations & RequirementsExperience & Leadership
- Industry Experience:4+ years of extensive experience in air freight logistics, with a strong emphasis on the e-commerce sector.
- Sourcing Expertise:2+ years of dedicated experience in strategic procurement or sourcing specifically within the logistics industry.
- Procurement Track Record:Proven ability to consistently and periodically procure competitive rates that meet regionally set targets.
Strategy & Network Building
- Market Insight (Philippines):Possess a strong understanding of the logistics network in Malaysia, demonstrated by the ability to develop a comprehensive overview of key partners, operational lanes, and competitive rate structures.
- Established Network:Maintain an existing, active network of industry partners and strong connections in the country that can be immediately leveraged to accelerate discussions while consistently achieving target rates and service levels.
Technical Expertise & Execution
- Ad Hoc Sourcing Capability:Ability to procure advantageous rates on anad hocbasis, moving beyond strict SOPs by utilizing deep network access and market knowledge to secure exceptional deals.
- Air Freight Best Practices:Expert knowledge of best practices concerning air freight policies and movement, including but not limited toBlock Space Agreements (BSA),Palletizationtechniques, andUnit Load Device (ULD)optimization.
