Network Engineer Tier II (DCLAN) | Hybrid | Pasay City | Shifting ScheduleRole OverviewThe Network Engineer Tier II (DCLAN) is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of enterprise network services. This includes incident recovery, execution of network changes, and adherence to configuration standards.
The role requires strong technical expertise in routing, switching (Cisco IOS/Nexus), and load balancing, working closely with Operations Engineering teams and external vendors. The engineer will also contribute to standards review, operational improvements, and tactical planning, and may support or lead major incidents, complex changes, or new technology implementations.
Primary Responsibilities1. Network Operations & Service Ownership- Ensure the technical success and availability of network services
- Maintain compliance with configuration standards and best practices
- Support day-to-day operations in a 24x7x365 environment
2. Incident, Change & Problem Management- Perform incident recovery and resolution for network-related issues
- Provide technical leadership during major incidents, including rapid assessment of complex environments
- Execute network changes in accordance with change management processes
- Support problem management and root cause analysis
- Assist with introduction of new technologies and solutions
3. Strategy & Service Design- Contribute to Network Operations strategy development
- Ensure alignment with:
- Organizational goals
- Strategy & Architecture teams
- Peer organizations
- Validate that new network services:
- Meet availability and performance requirements
- Are operationally sustainable
- Work with service providers to ensure:
- Proper technical execution
- High-quality service delivery
4. Process Improvement- Develop and enhance operational procedures and documentation
- Analyze and document current processes
- Improve availability, reliability, and maintainability of services
Education & Experience- Preferred: At least one professional-level certification (e.g., CCNP, F5-CTS LTM)
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in:
- WAN / MAN / LAN / Data Center environments
- Operational support, configuration, and evaluation
- Incident resolution and problem management
- Project delivery in a 24x7x365 support environment
- At least 3+ years supporting enterprise-scale, complex network environments
Technical Skills & ExpertiseCore Networking:- Strong knowledge of routing protocols:
- RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, BGP, RMTP, OSPF
- Expertise in:
- Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 9K (switching & routing)
- Cisco Catalyst 9K (switching & routing)
- Working knowledge of:
- Load balancers
- Enterprise network technologies
Platforms & Tools:- Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC)
- Service management tools:
- Monitoring and analytics:
- Network diagnostics and monitoring tools (preferred):
- Wireshark
- NetScout
- SevOne
- NetCool
Additional Technical Knowledge- Familiarity with:
- Cabling and optical fiber
- WAN and transport technologies
- Firewalls
- LAN/VLAN switching
- Software-defined networking (SDN)

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
