Network Engineer

We are opening one more slot for our Network Engineer Position!

Job Summary:

You are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure while introducing automation to improve operational efficiency. You will primarily assist on automating traditional manual workflows.

The engineer will primarily focus on network engineering tasks but will also support the development and execution of automation scripts, templates, and tools to streamline configuration management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Core Network Engineering

• Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network infrastructure

• Configure and support routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VXLAN, etc.)

• Perform configuration, maintenance, network capacity planning, monitoring, onboarding, etc. on the following Cisco Technologies - Cisco WLC, CatC, Catalyst and NX-OS Switches, ISE, FMC, FTD, ASA, APIC

• Troubleshoot and resolve network outages, performance issues, and security incidents

• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures

• Participate in on-call rotation and provide Level 2/3 network support

II. Network Automation (Partial Scope)

• Develop and maintain basic automation scripts and playbooks using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.

• Assist in automating repetitive network tasks such as configuration backups, device provisioning, or network validation.

• Contribute to building standardized configuration templates for routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Integrate automation workflows into existing network operations processes.

• Work with senior automation engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines for network changes.

• Assist in API-driven interactions with network controllers (e.g., CatC, Cisco Meraki Dashboard API, SD-WAN vManage API).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering

• Openness to learn Network Automation (Ansible, Python, Jinja, Velocity, REST API, JSON, YAML)

• Good to Have: Hands-on experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Velocity, Jinja)

Has knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting Cisco network technologies - Catalyst, NX-OS, ISR, cEdge, ISE, FMC, FTD, ASA, DNAC, ACI and WLC
