Job Description:
This position reports through the Global Network Engineering and Service Delivery of Lexis Nexis Infrastructure and Operations, reporting to the Supervisor of Network Service Delivery. Candidate is responsible for Operational support of the LAN, WAN, Cloud and Data Center for Lexis Nexis Enterprise and Production environments globally. Candidate participates in a 7x24x365 operational organization, with main accountabilities of Incident Management, Change Management, Service Request Fulfillment and Problem Management. This position requires moderate to advance support of network and security infrastructure technologies and services.
Additional functions include review, acceptance, and maintenance of support documentation for deployed and supported infrastructure; provide leadership and technical guidance to 1st level operations staff; the ability to communicate abstract technical concepts in business terms across all levels of the organization; and individuals must maintain expert knowledge and skills of supported infrastructure, technologies, and services.
General Knowledge and Competencies:
- Extensive hands-on experience with multi-vendor Networking, Security and its troubleshooting.
- This includes routers, switches, wireless controllers, next-gen firewalls, load balancers, and other network/security appliances.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native networking (AWS, Azure) e.g., Transit Gateway, Security Group, ExpressRoute, VPC Peering.
- Experience in network automation or orchestration, scripting language, AI or Power Apps to report or automate workflow is a plus.
- Experience working in ITIL-based operations (incident, change, problem, and request management).
- Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and lead projects is a necessity.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems and tools, and creative problem-solving abilities under pressure.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or other related field.
- At least 3 years of industry experience on Network Engineering and/or Operations handling complex and large-scale networks (LAN, WAN, Data Center, Cloud environments).
- At least 2 years of proven experience on Global Network Support.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
Other eligibility qualifications
- CCNA or equivalent certification is desired.
- Any cloud certification is a plus.
