Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Network Engineer reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager and is responsible for the evaluation, design, planning, implementation, and support of global network solutions.

You will join an international team of Network Engineers, contributing to the reliability, security, and continuous optimization of the company's global IT infrastructure.

The role will also support project teams throughout the project life cycle, from technical requirements and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and transition into production. You will provide technical expertise to ensure new solutions are successfully integrated into the operational environment.

Monitor and maintain the global network environment to ensure availability, performance, and SLA compliance.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues across routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, WAN, and other network technologies.
• Analyze network performance and provide operational reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Act as ICT Owner for assigned network products and technologies, overseeing their design, documentation, lifecycle, and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement network solutions, including the installation and deployment of new sites.
• Provide technical and architectural expertise for global and regional projects, including the implementation of new technologies.
• Support project teams during requirements definition, technical analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and transition to production.
• Identify opportunities to improve network architecture and infrastructure in alignment with the company's IT strategy.
• Collaborate with Global IT and operations teams to ensure effective implementation and ongoing support of network solutions.
• Provide off-hours support when required for global deployments and critical activities across multiple time zones.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Network Engineer / Network Specialist, preferably within an international or global organization.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including:

1. Network protocols: STP, ARP, DHCP, DNS/DNS management, and IPSec
2. Switching and routing technologies, including Peplink routers
3. Fortinet firewalls
4. SSL VPN and remote access technologies
5. WAN optimization
6. Load balancers
7. Wi-Fi technologies
8. Web proxy management
9. Geo-location technologies

• Experience supporting and administering network-related infrastructure and services.
• Experience contributing to or managing global network projects.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team.
• Process-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
• 5+ years administrating experience and support other network related products such as AD, networking and related technical infrastructure.

GOOD TO HAVE

• Knowledge of Cisco VoIP, Cisco Nexus vPC, Microsoft Azure, or SD-WAN is an advantage.
