Your Role
As a Network Engineer, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise network infrastructures.
- Support project teams in the delivery of broader IT services and network-related initiatives.
- Perform routine automation tasks to ensure secure configuration compliance, configuration backup management, and firmware upgrades/updates.
- Manage and resolve network incident escalations from L1/L2, including incident, problem, and security incident response.
- Provide hands-on support for VLAN configuration, Layer 2/Layer 3 routing, port security, VPN, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Manage cloud networking and security configurations within Microsoft Azure or AWS environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of rack layouts and cabling interconnects.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot network-related issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Ensure network infrastructure aligns with technical and business requirements.
- Provide technical input in the procurement of network equipment, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Support disaster recovery testing activities and ensure all technical criteria are met.
- Handle critical network incidents under pressure, ensuring timely resolution to minimize business impact.
- Support daily network operations using GUI tools, including health checks, end-user support, and weekly/monthly routine operational tasks.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
- Strong hands-on experience in VLAN configuration, Layer 2/3 routing, port security, VPN, and SD-WAN.
- Experience managing cloud networking and security in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Proven experience in incident management, escalation handling, and root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting enterprise-grade network operations and disaster recovery testing.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- ITIL Certification.
- Network engineering certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
- Experience in automation for network configuration and compliance.
- Strong documentation and structured planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
