Your Role
As a Network Engineer, you will:
Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and related networking equipment.
Monitor and analyze network performance, traffic, and utilization to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions aligned with business and security requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations, SOPs, rack layouts, and cabling interconnects.
Implement and enforce network security controls such as firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and IDS/IPS to ensure infrastructure integrity.
Manage and resolve L1/L2 escalations, including incident, problem, and security incident response.
Perform automation tasks to ensure secure configuration compliance, backup management, and routine firmware upgrades/updates.
Conduct disaster recovery testing activities and ensure technical recovery criteria are met.
Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and security teams to ensure seamless integration across platforms.
Mentor and guide junior network engineers in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting best practices.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
Minimum of 5 years experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and BGP.
Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN design, routing, and switching.
Experience with network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
Experience using network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills/expertise
Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIP.
ITIL Certification.
Experience in secure configuration compliance and automation scripting.
Exposure to enterprise-scale environments and high-availability network architecture.
Experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
