Candidate Location: Philippines, preferably in Metro Manila.
Responsibilities:
As a Tier 1 Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer, your primary role is to ensure the seamless operation of our global network infrastructure, providing essential first-level support.
Your duties encompass:
- Ticket Creation: Managing tickets for proactive network alerts, change requests, inquiries, and level 1 configuration changes.
- Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving basic network issues reported by end-users or monitoring tools, adhering to established procedures.
- Circuit Troubleshooting: Reporting circuit-related problems to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and collaborating for resolution.
- Tool Maintenance: Ensuring the upkeep and accuracy of Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) and Network Management Systems (NMS) tools.
- Documentation: Creating and updating network documentation, including diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Incident Communication: Providing updates to internal teams, clients, and vendors to resolve network-related incidents.
- Customer Ticket Updates: Regularly updating customers on the status and progress of their tickets.
- Project and Report Support: Assisting with projects and report generation as needed.
- Network Maintenance: Participating in network maintenance activities during or outside of business hours as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in network engineering or a similar field.
- Thorough understanding of IT LAN and WAN networking concepts.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Fortinet Technologies.
- Hold industry certifications such as CCNA or Fortinet NSE; CCNP certification is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Commitment to ongoing learning, training, and development.
