Role Summary:
Responsible for designing, implementing, and governing the organization's end-to-end network architecture. This role provides strategic direction and deep technical expertise across network operations, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure.
The Architect will lead the design and optimization of network environments involving routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, while aligning infrastructure solutions with business objectives and industry best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Architecture & Strategy
- Define and design enterprise-wide network architecture for on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Develop scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business goals.
- Create architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices for network environments.
- Drive modernization initiatives (e.g., SD-WAN, cloud networking, zero trust).
Infrastructure Design & Implementation
- Architect solutions involving:
- Routers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- Load Balancers
- Lead network design reviews and approve infrastructure changes.
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities.
Network Operations Oversight
- Provide governance and oversight for network operations teams.
- Act as a final escalation point for complex and critical incidents.
- Ensure operational excellence, availability, and performance of network systems.
- Optimize network performance, capacity, and traffic flow.
Security Architecture
- Design secure network frameworks including segmentation, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Align network architecture with cybersecurity policies and compliance requirements.
- Drive implementation of secure access models (e.g., Zero Trust, SASE).
Technology Evaluation & Innovation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions.
- Lead adoption of new platforms (e.g., cloud networking, automation, SDN).
- Promote automation and orchestration across network environments.
Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement
- Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to define infrastructure requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical architecture.
- Provide technical leadership in solution proposals and client discussions.
Qualifications:
- Has Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or any related field.
- Has 9+ years of overall experience in Network operations and Enterprise Infrastructure design
- Hands-on experience with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Switching & Routing Cisco
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Must be amenable to work on a 24x7 model or rotational shift (shifting – morning, mid, and night).
- Must be amenable to work in a hybrid work setup (3x a week RTO in Taguig or Makati office
