Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed network design assessments based on customer needs and business requirements.
  • Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for standardized LAN and WAN models.
  • Lead installation, configuration, and setup of network equipment in coordination with operators and on-site teams.
  • Participate in and validate critical network tests, including failover, internet breakout, and functionality checks for firewalls and optimization tools.
  • Lead fault and incident management for escalations involving critical outages or complex network issues.
  • Ensure network stability, optimized response times, lifecycle maintenance, and deliver monthly performance and quality reports.
  • Maintain thorough documentation including procedures, SOPs, configuration guides, and network diagrams.
  • Conduct risk evaluation, ensure compliance with business constraints, and perform handover to support teams when required.
  • Stay updated with evolving technologies to drive innovative, scalable, and secure network solutions.
  • Travel overseas as needed and support on-site night-shift operations.

Technical Abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on enterprise or service provider network experience covering routing, switching, security architecture, and system integration.
  • Strong background in TAC or Service Provider operations with proven expertise in deep troubleshooting and escalation handling.
  • Certified in CCNP or CCDP (mandatory); Palo Alto, F5, or SD-WAN certifications are an advantage.
  • Proficient in designing and managing LAN/WAN architectures including MPLS, IPSec VPN, GRE tunnels, hybrid WAN, and SD-WAN (Cisco Viptela, Meraki, Fortinet, Versa).
  • Extensive experience with Cisco ISR/ASR, Catalyst, Nexus; Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls; F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM).
  • Skilled in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP); switching protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP); security protocols (IPSec, SSL, GRE); multicast & QoS (IGMP, PIM, DSCP).
  • Strong background in Zero Trust, segmentation, firewall policy design, network security architecture, and SIEM/NAC/IAM integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with WAN optimization tools such as Riverbed SteelHead.
  • Proficient with VoIP/ToIP technologies, SIP/H.323, and QoS for voice.
  • Able to create detailed network documentation using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
  • Capable of leading technical workshops, architecture reviews, and vendor assessments.

Qualifications

  • Must be a college graduate.
  • Minimum 5 years of network IT experience.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to assess risks and understand business constraints.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn emerging technologies, and able to work effectively within and outside the IT department.
  • Excellent English communication (verbal and written) required.
  • Open to on-site night shift and overseas travel.
