Job Description
Role Overview:
The Network and Security Administrator is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing the organization's network and cybersecurity infrastructure. The role ensures reliable, secure, and high-performing network operations across on-premise and cloud environments while implementing security controls, managing vulnerabilities, and supporting compliance requirements.
Specific Duties and Key responsibilities:
A-Network Administration
- Configure, maintain, and monitor network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, SD-WAN, and SASE/SSE solutions.
- Ensure network availability, performance, stability, and business continuity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain technical documentation.
- Support disaster recovery, redundancy, and failover capabilities.
B-Security Administration
- Implement and manage cybersecurity controls across network, server, endpoint, cloud, and application environments.
- Perform security hardening, access management, firewall administration, and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor security events and incidents and coordinate investigations and corrective actions.
- Support audits, risk assessments, access reviews, and compliance activities.
C-Network & Security Strategy and Improvement
- Assess network and security environments for risks, vulnerabilities, and performance gaps.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to strengthen security, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in technology modernization initiatives, infrastructure planning, and security projects.
D-Technical Support & Escalation
- Act as the highest escalation point for complex network and security-related issues.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, technical guidance, and mentoring to Technical Support Engineers and IT teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve critical issues.
E-Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all network and security activities align with IT policies, information security standards, and governance requirements.
- Support audits, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and change management processes.
- Identify and escalate security risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps.
F-Project & Vendor Management
- Provide technical expertise for network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity projects from planning through implementation.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor service delivery.
- Promote process improvements, automation, and proper documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years in network and security administration in an enterprise, multi-site (office/branch/data center) environment
- Routing/switching, firewall, VPN, SD-WAN, SASE/SSE and wireless administration
- Security hardening, access control and vulnerability remediation
- Network monitoring, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Change/configuration management and ITSM
- ISO 27001/BSP compliance support
- Vendor and stakeholder management
- Preferred: Fortinet NSE 4/FCP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP; security certification (e.g., Security+)
