What This Journey Looks Like
We are looking for a
Network Administrator to join the team of a leading Canadian client. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and maintenance of enterprise network environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security of critical systems.
What You'll Do
- Manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other related infrastructures.
- Set up and configure network hardware ( Palo Alto, Cisco, BIG-IP, and Arista) (firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, wireless access points, etc.)
- Responsible for the escalations occurring in daily operations, including business-as-usual service and change requests, incident investigation, remediation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of network services, local and wide area network connections, and Datacenter.
- Rotational on-call is required to support 24/7 important and production systems.
- Participate in projects, design, implementation, installation, and configuration of Network Infrastructure systems.
- Continuously monitor the network's performance to ensure stability and resolve issues promptly. Conduct regular network security audits and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades and patches as necessary to maintain optimal network performance.
- Maintain detailed network documentation for all configurations, procedures, and hardware inventories. Document troubleshooting steps and network modifications.
- Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and other departments to ensure the network meets the organization's needs.
- Conduct regular analysis of network traffic and performance metrics. Identify potential bottlenecks, optimize network performance, and recommend improvements.
What You Bring To The Table
- Location: Latam or APAC
- Fluent English. Proven experience managing LAN, WAN, and Datacenter network environments.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting network hardware such as F5 BigIP, Cisco (Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus) and Palo Alto.
- Solid knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Experience handling daily operations escalations, including incident investigation, troubleshooting, remediation, and change requests (BAU).
- Experience monitoring network services and performance to ensure stability and high availability.
- Availability for rotational on-call support (24/7) for critical production systems.
- Experience participating in network projects, including design, implementation, installation, and configuration.
- Knowledge of network security best practices, security audits, and compliance with security policies.
- Experience planning and executing network hardware and software upgrades and patching.
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including configurations, procedures, inventories, and changes.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate network traffic and performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
