Aqualis Group is a global consultancy group, combining multi-disciplined expertise to deliver marine, engineering and technical services that drive safety and sustainability in maritime, oil & gas and renewable energy sectors.
The NetSuite Systems Administrator owns the technical administration, configuration and continuous improvement of Aqualis Group's NetSuite ERP platform. This is a hands-on technical role that combines day-to-day system administration with project-delivery responsibilities configuring, customising, integrating and maintaining NetSuite so that it remains reliable, secure and fit for a growing global business.
Working within the Business Systems team and alongside the Data and Digital teams, the role acts as the technical product owner for NetSuite: translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, managing environments and releases, and safeguarding the integrity and performance of the platform.
What will you be doing
- Administer and configure NetSuite roles and permissions, workflows, forms, fields, records, and the operational saved searches required to run the platform.
- Act as the functional owner for NetSuite, working closely with Finance and business stakeholders to understand business challenges, document requirements, and define fit-for-purpose solutions that align with business objectives, finance processes, and long-term platform strategy.
- Define and govern solution design principles, promoting the use of standard NetSuite functionality and maintainable configuration over custom development wherever practical.
- Design, build and maintain customisations using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow and SuiteBuilder to meet business requirements.
- Own and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other business systems (CRM, HRIS, banking, expense and the data platform) via SuiteTalk APIs and integration / iPaaS tooling.
- Manage environments, sandboxes, releases and change control, including regression testing of NetSuite release updates.
- Deliver system enhancements and projects from solution and technical design through build, test, deployment and hypercare.
- Maintain data integrity, security and access controls within NetSuite; support GDPR and audit requirements.
- Provide 2nd / 3rd-line technical support, diagnosing and resolving complex platform issues and performance concerns.
- Maintain technical documentation configuration, customisations, integrations and development standards.
- Partner with the Data team so that NetSuite data is exposed cleanly for enterprise reporting and analytics built by the Power BI Developer (data extraction and modelling support, not dashboard build).
- Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- NetSuite Administrator certification (held or working towards). NetSuite SuiteFoundation / SuiteCloud Developer certifications are desirable.
- 3+ years administering and configuring NetSuite (or a comparable ERP) in a support and delivery capacity.
- Experience across the full development lifecycle — requirements, specification, design, testing and deployment.
- Experience supporting mission-critical, global business systems.
- Knowledge of SuiteScript (1.0 / 2.x), SuiteFlow, saved searches and NetSuite configuration.
- Knowledge of system integration — REST / SOAP (SuiteTalk) APIs, webhooks and data flows between enterprise systems.
- Experience of working on environment, sandbox, release and change management.
- NSBP and NETSuite Consolidation management and support experience.
