Position: NetSuite Functional Consultant

We are seeking a NetSuite Functional Consultant to join our growing Technology Department. You will play a vital role in supporting completed implementations within NetSuiteensuring that system improvements continue to meet evolving business needs across Installation, Operations, Warehouse, and Supply Chain. You will also be heavily relied upon to share ideas for optimizing current implementations.
This position requires someone who can bridge business processes with system functionality, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and translate operational requirements into practical NetSuite solutions. A strong background in Warehouse Management (WMS), Inventory, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Field Service Management (FSM) within NetSuite is a major advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
System Enhancement & Continuous Improvement
- Optimization: Support enhancements, optimizations, and process refinements for completed NetSuite projects to ensure sustained business alignment and operational efficiency.
- Business Impact: Deliver system enhancements and integration solutions that quantifiably reduce manual work hours, eliminate process bottlenecks, and improve fulfillment times within the operational ecosystem.
- Adoption: Drive feature adoption rates by ensuring system updates are practical, user-friendly, and well-received by internal users post-launch.
Functional Consulting & Backlog Management
- Requirement Gathering: Gather business requirements and address issues to meet departmental needs.
- Backlog Health: Continuously maintain a prioritized, refined, and documented product/enhancement backlog, ensuring items are ready-for-development with clear acceptance criteria.
- Metric Establishment: Ensure major system initiatives have clearly defined and tracked success metrics prior to development or configuration kickoff.
Project Support & Delivery Execution
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the existing NetSuite team to support completed modules and system integrations.
- Sprint Predictability: Ensure a high completion rate of committed tasks and user stories within established development or sprint cycles.
- Release Quality: Conduct rigorous functional testing before providing solutions to stakeholders, aiming to minimize critical production defects or emergency rollbacks post-launch.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Alignment: Partner with different departments to validate system changes, resolve issues, and facilitate necessary alignment meetings between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Satisfaction & Conflict Resolution: Maintain high stakeholder satisfaction by effectively resolving priority conflicts and addressing operational pain points without unnecessary escalations.
Documentation & Communication
- Solution Documentation: Thoroughly document solutions, system changes, and process workflows.
- Communication Consistency: Maintain strict compliance with regular project communication cadences, including publishing comprehensive release notes, update summaries, and progress reports to cross-functional teams.
Qualification
- 3+ years of experience as a NetSuite Functional Consultant, NetSuite Administrator, or similar role.
- Proven track record in supporting NetSuite modules: Basic Accounting (BA), Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), Supply Chain Management (SCM/WMS), or Field Service Management (FSM).
- Strong understanding of core ERP workflows and how they integrate across different business units.
- Experience collaborating with both technical (developers, system admins) and non-technical teams, acting as the bridge between the two.
- Familiarity with Agile/Sprint methodologies and managing prioritized feature backlogs.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Nice-to-Have:
- NetSuite certification(s) (e.g., NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant, SuiteFoundation).
- Hands-on, deep expertise with NetSuite WMS or FSM.
- Previous experience operating within solar, manufacturing, or e-commerce environments.
