Job Description

The Medical City Iloilo is looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Staff Nurse for the Neocritical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) who will play a vital role in delivering safe, timely, and high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. This role supports complex patient management, advanced monitoring, and life-saving interventions in a fast-paced critical care environment, aligned with our commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

What's the Role All About

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide comprehensive and continuous nursing care to critically ill patients in the Neocritical ICU setting.

Perform thorough patient assessments and closely monitor vital signs, neurological status, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic parameters.

Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed, following established protocols.

Operate and manage advanced life-support and monitoring equipment (e.g., ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors).

Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, including participation in resuscitation and life-saving interventions.

Collaborate closely with intensivists, residents, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.

Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Ensure strict adherence to infection control policies, patient safety standards, and ICU protocols.

Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care, including clear communication and emotional support.

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.

Preferably with at least one (2) year of experience in ICU, Critical Care, ER, or similar high-acuity units.

BLS and ACLS certification are highly preferred.

Knowledgeable in advanced cardiac monitoring, ventilator care, and critical care protocols.

Proficient in clinical documentation and electronic medical record systems.

Willing to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment committed to quality and compassionate care.
