Job Description

The National Sales Manager (NSM) for the Central Nervous System (CNS) Business Unit is responsible for leading, developing, and executing the national sales strategy to achieve business objectives, sales growth, and market share targets across all territories.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy aligned with company objectives and marketing plans.
  • Set sales targets, forecasts, and KPIs for the districts.
  • Analyze sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities and challenges.
  • Ensure consistent execution of sales strategies across all districts.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate District Sales Managers and Medical Representatives to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and develop high-potential talents within the sales team for succession planning.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, field coaching, and sales meetings to enhance team capability.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Business Planning & Execution

  • Partner with Marketing, Medical, and Regulatory teams to ensure effective implementation of brand strategies.
  • Develop and manage the national sales budget and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical promotion standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Drive effective territory management and customer segmentation to optimize coverage and impact.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), hospital administrators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in major medical conventions, business reviews, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with distributors or trade partners (if applicable) to ensure product availability and growth.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Utilize sales analytics, Phyzii tools, and market intelligence to guide decisions and improve productivity.
  • Track and evaluate sales performance metrics, reporting key insights to management.
  • Identify opportunities for digital engagement and innovative selling approaches

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving team performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of pharma sales operations, hospital channel dynamics, and ethical marketing practices.
  • Preferably, minimum 810 years of progressive sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 35 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Regional Sales Manager or National Sales Manager).
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM systems, and sales analytics tools.
