Job Description

The National Sales Manager for Modern Trade is responsible for developing and executing nationwide sales strategies across all modern trade channels, including key accounts such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores, and other organized retail formats. This role ensures the achievement of sales targets, market share growth, and profitability objectives by leading and managing a team of Key Account Managers. The incumbent is expected to build strong relationships with major retail partners, negotiate trading terms, oversee joint business plans, and ensure excellent in-store execution in alignment with the company's brand and promotional strategies. S/he will also work closely with Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless alignment of sales initiatives with overall business goals.

In addition to sales leadership, the National Sales Manager will analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks. The role entails monitoring sales performance metrics, forecasting volumes, and managing trade spending to ensure budget compliance and efficiency. The successful candidate must possess strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record in driving revenue growth in the modern trade sector. S/he will report directly to the Sales Director and play a critical role in shaping and driving the company's route-to-market strategy across the country.
