The Tours and Education Associate plays a key role in delivering enriching and memorable museum visitor experiences at the Ayala Museum. This position involves conducting guided tours, facilitating special programs, supporting visitor services, and maintaining partnerships that will help to grow the museum's audience. The incumbent will also handle front-of-house and administrative responsibilities while enhancing the overall visitor experience through innovation and professionalism.
Museum Tours and Activities
- Conduct engaging, informative, and audience-appropriate guided tours for diverse groups in an engaging and confident manner
- Adapt and tailor fit tour content and delivery style based on visitor age, background, and interest level
- Plan, organize, and facilitate museum workshops, lectures, and special programs
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tour scripts, activities, and interpretive materials.
- Support the development, organization, and archiving of tour scripts and educational/program content.
Partnerships and Outreach
- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with schools, tour operators, travel agencies, community organizations, and interest groups
- Support outreach initiatives that promote museum programs and increase participation
Customer Service and Administrative Support
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all museum visitors and assist with ticketing, inquiries, information, and accessibility needs.
- Assist in managing visitor-facing materials such as brochures, maps, wayfinding, and educational resources.
- Facilitate the museum's online booking portal and handle visitor inquiries efficiently.
- Handle logistics, administrative, and coordination tasks to ensure tours, programs, and events operate smoothly.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Communications, Museum Studies, History, Arts Management, Behavioral Sciences, Education, or related fields
- Preferably with 1 year of experience as a museum guide, visitor experience associate, or a related role. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Confident and with excellent skills in storytelling, public speaking, and interpersonal communication
- Ability to engage audiences of different ages and backgrounds
- Strong organizational, customer service, and administrative skills
- Proficient in digital tools and visitor management systems

- Can work under minimal supervision
- Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings (working schedule is 10am-7pm, either Tue-Sat or Wed-Sun)
