We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Technician to support the maintenance and operation of electrical and facility systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical infrastructure, including UPS systems, server rooms, and air conditioning units. The technician will also collaborate with engineering and construction teams to support installation, maintenance, and improvement of building systems.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance & Operations
- Maintain and support electrical power systems, lighting, communication systems, and UPS infrastructure.
- Perform routine monitoring and recording of readings for UPS systems, server and HUB rooms, and air-conditioning systems.
- Conduct analysis of electrical system inputs and outputs to ensure optimal performance.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures within the office.
Installation & System Setup
- Execute wiring plans for lighting and other electrical systems.
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit breaker panels).
- Connect wiring in circuits and networks, ensuring proper compatibility of components.
Preventive Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Conduct routine inspections to prevent system breakdowns, including cleaning circuits and replacing worn wiring or cables.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify hazards or malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Repair or replace defective wiring, equipment, or fixtures using appropriate tools.
Facilities Monitoring & Compliance
- Perform routine monitoring of facility systems to ensure functionality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) during installation and maintenance projects.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, regulations, and occupational health standards.
- Knowledge in handling various trades, including electrical, plumbing, civil works, and fire protection systems.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Flexible and able to respond to operational and maintenance needs.
